Held between Christmas and New Years, to 2009 City of Rockingham Cockburn Sound Regatta (CSR) is a great opportunity to experience the flat, open waters of Cockburn Sound. Add in the usual order of a 20 knot seabreeze and you've got yourself a recipe for some fast and exciting racing!

Given the current economic situation, the CSR presents itself as an alternative for fleets to partake in an end of year regatta, without forking out the bucks to travel interstate for their respective class championships. This years event is set to be the biggest in recent times, with offshore thoroughbred Optimus Prime being the first official entrant in the regatta, and is sure to attract some of her fellow competitors.
